HR Acuity’s survey of nearly 2,000 U.S. workers in companies of at least 1,000 employees also showed that confidence in internal investigations processes lags — only 40% of employees believe that if they report a concern, it will be investigated and addressed appropriately.
A few other key findings:
- 63% of Black employees have witnessed or experienced inappropriate or unethical behavior.
- 80% of employees say the inappropriate behavior they have seen took place in the office; but 67% of incidents that happened while working remotely were reported vs. 56% of those that happened in the workplace.
- About 20% of people who reported incidents said they weren’t sure if the issue was investigated.
