Investigation Skills in Practice: Experienced Investigator Training

Investigation Skills in Practice is a hands-on workshop designed for experienced professionals seeking to strengthen their workplace investigation skills. This interactive, virtual training course, facilitated by VM Mastered, will help participants enhance the critical skills required to conduct effective and impartial workplace investigations. Facilitators will discuss challenging situations and complex allegations that arise throughout the investigative process. Through real-world scenarios, participants will have the opportunity to draft the scope, conduct interviews, evaluate the reliability and weight of evidence and document the findings and analysis for hypothetical investigations. 

This course consists of two 3.5-hour virtual, interactive workshops that will include engaging discussions, breakout activities and live questions. Participants will also receive an interactive Participant Workbook with key resources. Whether you are looking to build confidence or refine your existing approach, this workshop delivers the practical experience needed to conduct thorough, fair and defensible workplace investigations.

Full Attendance Required: 

This course is structured as a two-part training with the workshops building on each other. Therefore, full, live attendance is required to ensure a valuable experience for all participants. The workshops will not be recorded and there are no make-up sessions. Credits will be awarded at the end of the two workshops. To be eligible for the credits, attendance is required at both sessions.

This training is designed for more experienced workplace investigators seeking to deepen and refine their investigative approach. It is also ideal for employee relations professionals who have completed our Investigation Essentials training and are ready to elevate core investigation skills through practical application.
