Celebrating Bold Leadership: Allison “Allie” Kramer Deeb of AIG, Employee Relations Leader Award Winner

Last updated:

ER leader award

Few leaders shine brighter in transforming employee relations into a strategic, people-first function than Allison (“Allie”) Kramer Deeb, Head of Employee Relations, Americas, at American International Group (AIG), an HR Acuity customer since October 2024. This year, Allie’s exceptional impact was recognized with the ER Leader Award, and it’s easy to see why.

In the words of Allie’s colleagues, “She has created a culture of trust where employees feel heard and supported, turning employee relations into a safe haven rather than a last resort.”

From championing the adoption of HR Acuity to leveraging data for proactive, solutions-oriented strategies, Allie has consistently driven innovation at her organization. She spotlights risks before they escalate, streamlines processes and removes roadblocks to ensure her team can deliver their best work — all while creating a workplace where employees feel safe, heard and respected.

Allie is known across AIG for leading with courage, empathy and integrity. Her team describes her as a leader who doesn’t just direct but develops. “Allie lifts us,” one colleague shared. “She empowers each of us to find our voices, grow our confidence and see the value we bring to the organization.”

Under her leadership, employee relations has become a trusted function where employees feel heard and supported. “Allie has a gift for making people feel safe and respected, even in tough situations,” one nomination shared. “Her thoughtful and steady approach to employee concerns has helped build real confidence in how ER supports the business.”

A Strategic, Data-Driven Approach

Allie combines that people-first mindset with a strong operational and analytical focus. She was the driving force behind bringing HR Acuity to AIG — a move her team calls “a big deal.” It wasn’t just about adopting new technology, but about modernizing how ER operates: Using data to see patterns early, prevent issues and support managers more effectively.

As a result, AIG’s employee relations team can identify patterns and address issues before they escalate — resulting in fewer formal investigations, reduced turnover and stronger cross-functional collaboration.

Building Empowered Teams

Allie’s leadership style is intentional and inclusive. She actively seeks input before making decisions and creates space for open dialogue. “She values diverse perspectives and trusts her team to lead with autonomy,” one nomination said. “That trust strengthens ownership and builds confidence in everyone she leads.”

Her focus on removing barriers also stands out. She’s “constantly pushing to streamline operations and remove unnecessary roadblocks to getting solid ER work done.” It’s a pragmatic approach that makes her team’s work more efficient and meaningful.

Elevating Employee Relations

Beyond her team, Allie builds strong partnerships with business leaders — coaching managers on best practices, promoting consistency and driving accountability across the organization.

“She helps create a more positive and productive workplace for all employees,” said a colleague.

At its core, that’s what makes Allie stand out. Her work shows that employee relations, done right, isn’t just about resolving issues — it’s about building cultures where trust, fairness and growth go hand in hand.

Thank you, Allie, for your tireless work elevating employee relations. We’re honored to recognize you on behalf of HR Acuity.
